just found this so totally new to the concept and game, question then is: Is there to be or is there already the ability to host multiplayer games for this version yet?

I think the game has only LAN support for multiplayer.
I also read about using Hamachi, whatever it is.

Yes, Hamachi is a program that will let you create a VPN between two computers. Basically you're playing a LAN game over the Internet. Reports of its success have been mixed.

That's for Danger and Opportunity however, I believe there is a rumor that the new game/engine will be more multiplayer friendly.
